We know there is a lot happening, and it can sometimes feel overwhelming trying to keep up with all of the change activities. We are therefore pleased to invite you to the Eastern Sector Development Team (ESDT) ‘News in brief’ online session. This 'no frills' briefing will providing you with a summary of the reform readiness activities, consultations, and changes that are in the pipeline for CHSP.

Changes to DEX reporting and CHSP IT Grant Opportunity

Implementing the Aged Care Act

The new Aged Care Act and regulatory framework will take effect on 1 July 2025, introducing new and strengthened principles and obligations for all aged care providers.
Providers will be required to uphold consumer rights, deliver services with dignity and respect, and ensure transparency through accurate reporting of operations and enhanced accountability measures include stricter monitoring and penalties for non-compliance. Registration will emphasize continuous improvement, requiring providers to align their practices with the Act’s principles and ensure older Australians receive consistent, high-quality care in their own homes.
This interactive online workshop for CHSP and Home Care Providers, will step you through the new Aged Care Act and Regulatory Framework, and support your understanding of the key actions required to enable your organisation’s reform readiness.
You will be supported to prepare an implementation plan that will help you to understand what you need to execute or improve to ensure your organisation’s compliance with the new Aged Care Act including communication and risk planning.
