Overview of the Board Briefing Toolkit:

This resource has been designed to support Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) senior leaders in briefing Board Members about the ongoing aged care reform agenda. The Board Briefing toolkit is a helpful guide, though not exhaustive, and contains information available at the time of its publication (October 2024).

What’s Included?

The Board Briefing Toolkit provides a summary of the crucial changes impacting CHSP organisations. It is divided into four sections:
  1. Orientation and Guidance: An introduction to the resource, including tips and suggestions for conducting successful Board briefings.
  2. Summary of Key Changes: An overview of significant changes affecting CHSP organisations, with reflective questions to help you assess your organisation’s current state and prepare for the future.
  3. Example Board Briefing Resources: Some example Board Briefings.
  4. Additional Resources and Staying Informed: Links to further resources to help organisations stay informed and proactive in response to ongoing reforms.

​A PDF version of the complete toolkit is provided, along with a Microsoft Word version of Section Two for organisations to use in conducting self-assessments.
